Temple Dedicated to Sita Mata:

This temple is one of the few temples which dedicated to Sitadevi in India.
There is a belief that the Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana,
was residing here during the period of Ramayana.Sitadevi lived here in his ashram while in exile.
Sitadevi gave birth to her twin children Lava-Kusha here.
Even today the room where Sita gave birth to her children exists.

A Short Glance From holy scripture of Ramayana:

According to the holy scripture of Ramayana. Lord Rama exiled Goddess Sita for the following reason.

The story goes as in ancient times where Kings used to Rome into their kingdoms privately by changing their attire to know about there citizen issues or problems.

One night, Lord Rama was roaming in his kingdom and he heard a laundryman scolding her wife over something. Lord Rama went closer to listen their conversation,

he heard the laundryman saying “I’m not the son of King Dashrath who will keep her wife even after she’s been kept by someone else for so long”, get out of my house, I love my dignity more than I love any woman.

Overhearing this, Lord Rama got affected and asked her pregnant wife Sita Mata to leave the kingdom only because he couldn’t stand people
talking behind his back.

So sita mata during the period exile stayed here in Avani Betta forest.

The Ramalingeshwara group of temples:

The main point of attraction here is The Ramalingeshwara group of temples
These temples were constructed in the Dravida style. According to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), the temple is an elegant of 10th-century Nolamba dynasty construction which was partially renovated
later by the Chola dynasty.
The temple complex comprises four major shrines, one each for Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata and Shatrughna.
There are other minor shrines, such as those for Vali and Sugriva.

The government should focus to renew & protect the temples and its monuments. Connectivity,Hotels,Infrastructure must be kept priority for development of these Historical places.
